The pitiful screams of the unresisting Baptist pastor attest to the Taser’s barbarous effectiveness in that role. It’s interesting and appropriate that the last part of the video is set to the strains of the Christian hymn Be Still My Soul which takes its melody from Finlandia composed by the heroic Jan Sibelius. At once patriotic and proudly subversive the Finlandia Hymn was a protest against the political repression of the Finns by the Russian Empire. We’ve clearly reached the point at which any authentic American patriot is going to be treated as a subversive by the armed enforcers of Washington’s empire. ___*No not every police officer does this kind of thing. The only other non-conference games on the schedule the rest of the season are a Dec. 29 contest at Northern Michigan and a Feb. 14 home game against Finlandia. This NSIC schedule is generally favorable in terms of travel for the Beavers. The longest stretch on the road is three games: two on the road at Winona State and Upper Iowa which is followed by the game against Northern Michigan. Bemidji State will play four of the final six games of the season on the road but those four are divided with the game against Finlandia and the final regular season home game against Winona State on Feb.
